I would like to thank betavine's team and judges for their efforts and allowing us, Egyptian students, that chance "Vodafone Egypt competition".
In order for us, either winners or not, to maximize or obtain our profits from participating in this competition; I would like to request that the judges committee would kindly provide us with their feedback for each application.
It is mentioned in the competition description that your key elements for successful entries are:
* Inventive
* Functionality
* Usefulness
* Ease of Use
* Performance
So, would you please provide each of us with the gradings for each element so as to complete the full picture of your feedback.

The Vodafone Egypt competition featured four concept areas not to be confused with four categories. The Betavine competition you refer to has four award categories.
The original brief to this competition has been included on the winners page for information.
We hope to publish more information from our sponsors early next week when we receive it.

I expected to read something like the one posted in the results of the "Betavine Competition 07" at:

Vodafone Egypt Competition (2008)
Welcome to the Vodafone Betavine Egypt competition!
Vodafone is offering all University students in Egypt the chance to win up to 5,000 euros, in its first mobile software development competition in Egypt. We believe students in Egypt have great innovation, resourcefulness and creativity, and we'd like to help you bring your ideas to life!
If you've got what it takes to win the competition – hurry up, register now and make sure you tell all your friends who are also University students in Egypt.

Competition
This competition is now closed.
The winners will be announced on November 15th 2008.
Develop an innovative mobile application based around one of the four concepts:
- Social Networking and Communications
- Information & Entertainment
- Ofice & Business to Business
- Social Impact
The competition is deliberately left open and flexible in order to not inhibit the imagination and inventiveness of students. The application should be based around the four aforementioned areas.
Get started by following the Student Competition Guidelines 2008 instructions on How to enter a Student Competitions. The four areas that an application can compete in are described in more detail below:
- Social Networking - Serving the needs of communities which share the same interests, providing a total communications experience E.g. at home, out and about, at play and at work.
- Information and Entertainmnet - Serving the needs of people users encounter each day, getting news, local information, listen to their favourite music, TV, play games, at home or on the move.
- Office and Business to Business - Serving the needs of companies and their employees, e.g. business travellers, sales people, payment systems.
- Social Impact - Serving the needs of the big trends and challenges in future societies, e.g. healthcare, energy conservation, traffic control and logistics.
The following entry criteria apply to this competition only:
- You must be a university student in Egypt.
- We're always keen to develop good applications - as a result, one of the conditions of your entry into this competition is that if you're one of the winners you come and talk to us first before commercialising your app with anyone else.
We are looking for the key elements for successful entries:
- Inventive
- Functionality
- Usefulness
- Ease of Use
- Performance
We will be awarding 1st, 2nd and 3rd. cash prizes for this competition:
- 1st Prize - 5000 Euros
- 2nd Prize - 2000 Euros
- 3rd Prize - 1000 Euros
The opening and closing dates for the Egypt Competition are:
- Opening 4th April 2008
- Closing 30th September 2008
