But we’re not stuck in a stuffy old building – the Betavine lab is an open online community platform for everyone, pros & newbies alike.

Our mission is to support the wider development community in imagining, developing, testing and launching great new applications for mobile, wireless and Internet communications. We are platform agnostic and operating system agnostic.

Everyone is welcome to register as a member, download and play with any application, contribute to discussion threads and create or comment on blog entries. As a developer you can upload your own applications, showcase your work and get useful feedback from other members. Students should keep an eye peeled for great competitions and other opportunities.

We want to add tangible value to the application development process wherever we can - so tell us if you think of something we can add or improve.

After all, we’re in beta too!

We have set up this open Internet lab to encourage and enable application researchers, developers and students to interact with the many early adopters and potential beta testers out there.

Smarter devices with faster, fatter wireless connectivity are emerging all the time. We will soon expect all of these devices, from handheld to household, to talk to each other and for all the embedded services to become an invisible feature of our extended, enabled environment.
